Esteban Rivas is a Basso Cantante (Lyrical Bass) and as such has earned praise for his performances in Southern California and Mexico. He graduated with honors from the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit where he majored in Vocal Performance and was part of their opera workshop. Mr. Rivas also participated in Coro del Estado de Nayarit, and was a special member of the chorus Guillermo Zarabia in the city of Mazatlán.
Since returning to Southern California Mr. Rivas has sung several operatic roles including: Figaro, Bartolo, and Antonio (Le nozze di Figaro, Masetto (Don Giovanni), Escamillo (Carmen), Yakuside, Bonzo – cover (Madama Butterfly), Angelotti (Tosca), Simone (Gianni Schicchi), Pharaoh (Aida), Ben (The Telephone), Dottore Grenvil (La Traviata), among others. Recently he was a featured soloist with Gemma Art in Boise, Idaho under the direction of Andrea del Giudice, as well as with the Coachella Valley Symphony under the baton of Maestro John Mario di Constanzo.
